What you get

Papercam is software you install. There is a free version and there are paid plans; the pricing page lists what each one includes. A paid plan unlocks its features for as long as the plan is paid for.

Your licence

A licence is personal to you or your company and may be used on the number of computers shown on your licence page (2 for Pro, 2 per seat for Team). You may move a licence between computers using that page. Please do not share, resell or publish your key.

Subscriptions and payment

Papercam is sold through Stripe, which acts as the seller of record: it takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, and its name may appear on your card statement and receipt.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time through the link in your receipt. If you cancel, your paid features keep working until the end of the period you have already paid for — we do not stop them early. If a payment fails, your paid features keep working for about two weeks while your card is retried; after that the app carries on as the free version, with your settings intact.

Signing in on the website

In the browser, Pro is tied to the email address you paid with: you sign in with that address and a password, and Pro switches on while your licence is active. Keep the password to yourself; signing in on more than 5 browsers signs out the oldest.

Checking in, and activation

Papercam checks in with our server about once a week to confirm what your copy is entitled to. This is how a paid plan stays active, and it applies to the free version too. If the check cannot be made — you are offline, or a network blocks it — nothing changes: a failed check never restricts the app.

We may in future require the free version to be activated with a licence. If we ever do:

• your copy will say so inside the app, and will keep working for at least 14 days from the day it first tells you, counting down to the date;
• a copy that has not been given that notice is never affected;
• anyone on a paid plan that is up to date is not affected at all.

Papercam runs on your computer, so a copy that has already been activated carries on working whatever happens to our website.

Refunds

If Papercam does not work for you, write within 14 days of buying and we will refund you.

Fair use

Please do not use Papercam to impersonate someone, to break the rules of a service you are calling on, or to do anything illegal. We may end a licence that is used this way, with a refund of any unused time.

What we promise, and what we do not

We work hard to keep Papercam reliable, but software and cameras vary between computers. Papercam is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will suit a particular purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law. Our responsibility is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months.

Ending

You may stop using Papercam at any time. We may end a licence if these terms are broken. If we end a paid licence for any other reason, we will refund the unused part of what you have paid.
